Here is a list of names bestowed upon American males in 2011 that are adjective and nouns. Just like the Girls Adjective and Nouns list, months of the year, seasons and birds’ names are excluded, as well as some of the regular English words already commonly accepted as proper first names, although on this list we did include Hale, because it seemed more than coincidental that exactly 20 boys were named Hale and 20 were named Hearty. Twins maybe?
Be that as it may, there is also the possibility that at least some, if not all, of the 6 boys named Brain were really named Brian. Any Brian, even anyone who has ever lived with a Brian who gets mail, will surely agree with that. Typos happen on birth records and they are later corrected.
Some of these names also appear on the girls list, making them unisex names. There were 54 Messiahs on the girls list, but no Demons.
Over 1000:
1602 – Chance 100-1000
950 – Colt |
50-99
91 – Nobel |
The number to the right of each name signifies the number of births attributed to the name in 2011. Continue to Page 2 for more names.
